Curriculum and Instruction Picks the App

This is the first of a new series of reviews courtesy of our Curriculum and Instruction Coordinators.  Each coordinator will pick an app from their instructional area that they would like to highlight. Our first reviewer is Kristen Beesaw, Language Arts Coordinator for grades 6-12.

App Title:  My Writing Spot for iPad







Grade Level:  K-12

Purpose:  Use this app to write journal entries, keep class notes, or begin a novel. 

Overall Educational Value: Great app to help students organize and archive their writing on the iPad.  The built-in dictionary and thesaurus give students a tool to improve their word choice.  The notebook itself is customizable for font type and size.

    built in dictionaries rock! Any idea if this app will take foreign language entries?

    I'm looking at different writing journal apps. What makes this one worth spending the money to use?
